Treasure Island Music Festival

It's that time of the year again, when the city kids get ready to hop on a party limo bus and land on an island to listen to great music. I'm excited. You should be excited. Let's all go together!

First off, can I just say thank you to Jeff Canham for illustrating and designing such an awesome layout? It's quite excellent. Early-bird tickets go on sale today. 99$ for both days. So worth it. Not that I'm against the Outside Lands Festival in Golden Gate Park, but there's just a different feel to this one that makes it so much more memorable. Plus it's more affordable and organized then Outside Lands, and you get to take a free ride on a party bus! Outside Lands started on the right foot by having Radiohead kick off the festival, but I have to admit, I haven't been excited about the past two years' lineup and the way it's been organized. Thankfully, the Treasure Island Music Festival never disappoints (just look at the view you have while you're listening)!

Check out the lineup, dig your pockets for change and buy those tickets.

next month-treasure island music festival

It's a good time to be living in San Francisco! I just wrote about the Outside Lands Music Festival going on next week, but forgot to mention next months festivities going on at Treasure Island. The Treasure Island Music Festival is happening September 20 & 21st. I've got my ticket marked for Saturday's line up with Nortec Collective, Foals, Goldfrapp, Amon Tobin, and more. Tickets are lot more affordable, with single day tickets selling for $65.00 (includes a ride from SF to Treasure Island). Anyone living in California should definitely road trip themselves to the Bay Area; it's not often you get the chance to listen to great music on an island with a perfect view of the city just across from you. Think about it, and hopefully see you there.
